Kissel Kar

• Description; Nickel plated pressed brass hub cap for a Kissel Kar automobile built in Hartford, Wisconsin between the years of 1907 and 1918. The Kar part of the name was dropped in 1919 in the wake of world war one because it sounded too German. The date noted inside of the cap is 1919 but I am not sure of the application.
• Size; The cap has an outside diameter of just under 4” and is 1 9/16” high. This style of cap has no threads and they are usually found with punch marks on the side which held them on to the hub.
